The Abside Suite & Spa is a luxury guesthouse with spectacular views towards the cloister of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, one of the most impressive and significant churches in Palermo due to its tremendous artistic and historical value.

The building is located close to the Basilica’s apse, (the word “abside” means apse in Italian) which is where its name comes from and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood that’s set apart from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is one of the most charming and typical areas of Palermo’s historic centre. It is distinguished by its unique setting in an unrivalled position inside the pedestrianised area, just a stone’s throw from Piazza Marina, some of the city’s most popular monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

An elegant setting in which to experience some unique, romantic moments together. Our Suite has been designed with just one aim in mind: the physical and sensory well-being of our guests. The room actually measures 25 square meters and has its own mini swimming pool with a jacuzzi, a wood-fired sauna, a stunning walk-in shower where colours and scents are combined to create an extraordinary atmosphere that is harmonised with the jets of water which resemble fine rain or an invigorating waterfall.

The Suite is situated on the ground floor and offers complete privacy from the rest of the building . It also offers numerous other comforts in addition to a wonderfully comfortable double bed and a private bathroom in the room.
